Our Story
Once upon a time in the lovely city of Ghent, Belgium, two adventurous souls met during their Erasmus journey. Miguel and Anežka, who lived next to each other in the dorms, first crossed paths when Miguel, wanting to impress, suggested they swap rooms because his was bigger. Little did he know that this small gesture would start a love story that would last over a decade and take them to three different countries!
From the cobblestone streets of Ghent to the deep forests of the Czech Republic and the sunny beaches of Spain, our journey has been a wonderful mix of cultures and experiences. We’ve learned to appreciate our differences, turning misunderstandings into laughter and challenges into successes.
As we prepare to say "I do," we believe our love can handle the cold winters of the Czech Republic and the hot summers of Spain. Together, we look forward to many adventures, traveling the world, and making unforgettable memories with our dear families and friends. Cheers to the wonderful experiences yet to come!
Travel & Accommodation
Getting There
The best way to reach the venue is by car from Madrid. For those traveling from abroad, we recommend renting a car at Madrid Airport (MAD). The journey takes around 2 hours.
Accommodation
There are several charming country houses (casas rurales) located in the area. They vary greatly in size and amenities—explore our recommendations in more detail.
Destination
The nearest town to the venue is Villanueva de la Vera. Just outside of the town, you'll find the Sierra de Gredos mountain range, known for its stunning peaks and clear gorges (locals call them gargantas), which are great for swimming in nature. La Vera region is rich in history and in our own story, making it a special place to celebrate our union.
